00:00 | Niklas Paschburg is only 23 years old - he was born in Hamburg in 1994 - but he knows how to charm and bewitch with melodies and notes; mesmerising sounds and a cinematic atmosphere, intense crescendi and a pop flavour that moves and fascinates..Following his first EP "Tuur mang Welten", he is poised to release his debut album 'Oceanic' with 7K! on 8th February 2018: a moving trip full of both melancholy and energy; twelve instrumental songs between neo-classical, ambient and electronic music, inspired by nature.
00:00 | Born in 1974, Chronik, whose real name is George Papadopoulos, fell in love with music very soon. "I was this little kid with his own notebook writing down all the music he was hearing on the radio, mostly classical and jazz", he tells. "Later on, as a teenager, I started working for the JazzFm radio station in Athens and being closer to great producers helped me learn more about that art I loved so much. Although at that time I didn't have any interest in being a musician or trying something by my own. I was pessimistic". But passion won: while studying Art Conservation and Architecture and attending seminars about photography, Chronik started to experiment with music on his own: "It was a process to discover my hidden charisma", he reveals.
00:00 | "Post-classical", "neo-classical", "non-classical" : nobody knows what to call this music – but Neil Leiter and Margaret Hermant, aka Echo Collective, don't mind one bit. Orchestral instrumental music from outside the classical establishment has become huge over the past few years, and Leiter and Hermant have witnessed the evolution and extraordinary rise of this movement right up close. They've worked with some of the most important players, both in the recording studio and for concerts worldwide. And though the Echo Collective members themselves very much do come from within the classical music establishment, they don't care which side of the fence they are seen to be on.
