20:00 | Felix Pallas are S + PJ + X + Z, four 20-somethings from Antwerp (Belgium) creating alienated pop. RAKATA launched the band - as the song title suggests - straight into the ones to watch lists, easily creeping in everyone's ear and under everyone's skin. The rising four-piece followed it up with CURSE, a true lover's fool soundtrack that sweeps the listener of its feet thanks to the bewitching instrumental chorus.
Felix Pallas bathe their tunes in an spiraling production, washing you over like a whirlwind and lifting you up with S and his heaven sent falsetto.
Felix Pallas will release a debut EP late 2016.
"Sweeping pop perfection." Pigeons & Planes
"A bewitching power ballad straight from the heart, packed with all the spiraling synths and sweltering vocals we could ever ask for (heaven sent falsetto included)." Neon Gold
"It's epic yet simultaneously grounded, perfect for singalongs and solitary heartbreak." Crack In The Road
SX will also play on 24 November at TRIX, Antwerp.
20:00 | SX burst onto the scene in 2011 with their exotic track, 'Black Video'. The single kick-started an international tour, and they opened for bands like Yeasayer, Vampire Weekend, Ariel Pink and Poliça. Their first album 'Arche' came out in 2012, and included the hits 'Gold', 'Graffiti', and the captivating 'The Future'.
With 'Arche' SX earned gold record status in Belgium. Following a sold out club tour, they went on to perform at the Ancienne Belgique, Pukkelpop and Rock Werchter.
Stefanie and Benjamin have also worked on exciting collaborations in other fields, such as their
partnership with top designer Dries Van Noten for his winter collection 2015-2016.
In the past two years, Benjamin Desmet and Stefanie Callebaut have created their own universe. Raw human emotion has been harmonized with progressive technology. This is how Benjamin's rationality and Stefanie's instinct try to approach each other. As close as possible. This is where that simmering explosive sensation on 'Alpha' comes from.
SX will also play
- on 20 November at De Kreun, Kortrijk
- on 24 November at TRIX, Antwerp.
